This graphic was designed while I was completing the International Baccalaureate program in high school. At the end of the school year, my peers and I showcased all our artwork in an art show. We needed to advertise our event to the rest of the school as well as some university critics and parents. I volunteered to design the poster for the event. I used metal mesh in order to produce the photography piece used as the background. I then used Adobe Photoshop to create the final graphic.
This was the first time I created a marketing graphic for an event. This was a huge learning experience for me as I was able to fully experience the process of thinking of a marketing strategy as well as executing a graphic that would be memorable, effective and visually aesthetic. I was able to expand my Adobe Photoshop skills as well as my photography skills. After completing this project, I realized that I was very interested in how graphics can affect a group of people and I found myself wanting to learn more about graphic design.
